Chugga Chugga... Two Two!

My son LOVES Thomas & Friends, but for his 2nd birthday party, I just had to incorporate some vintage elements. Grady turned 2 on January 19, and despite most of his friends being sick for the party, we still had a great time. Of course I went all out, since my favorite thing to do is plan and produce products for kids' birthdays. I even made my own "Pin the Nose on Thomas" game. You can't get more fun!

Below are some photos from his party. You can view them on the Gallery page too. Let me know if I can help making your child's party extra special!

Got this idea from Pinterest:

I'd found this amazing "Railway Express Special Agent"
authentic badge while antiquing one day. I placed it next to
some chocolate "gold rush" coins and some Rolos dynamite.

"Hungry" for a New Start

It's a new year, and for Uniquely Cropped, that means a new website! I've switched from a traditional site to a blog in hopes that it will be easier to update and allow me to share more photos and comments about current and upcoming projects.

First on the docket for 2012 are my niece's 1st birthday invitations. My sister-in-law picked the theme "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" based on the book by Eric Carle. So cute! I immediately got on Pinterest for some inspiration, and it worked! While they were visiting, we decided to use Julia's hand prints as the butterfly from the story. As messy as it was, it was worth it. Combined with some free clip art I found online, here's what I came up with:

The best part is, Julia's hand prints are actual size... So not only is this a cute invitation to her party, but a wonderful keepsake for her baby book!
